Defender James is the twin of Adam Chambers who is currently on loan at Hillsborough from The Baggies and recent reports have speculated that the duo will swap the Black Country for Sheffield in the close season.
Adam has done well in Turner’s eyes, despite fans believing that he is a little lightweight but that did not stop CT signing a deal to keep him at Hillsborough until the end of the season.
Whether Adam gets signed permanently in the close season is open to debate, but Turner has categorically stated in local press that James will not be making the move north.
Meanwhile, Lloyd Owusu is still considering a move to Reading, despite both Wednesday and The Royals agreeing a fee for the striker.
The former Brentford hit-man has impressed Reading boss Steve Coppell, who had Owusu under his stewardship at Griffin Park and wanted him when he was in charge of Brighton and Hove Albion.
The deal that has been agreed will be a nominal fee plus additions that are dependant on Owusu’s future performances and perhaps promotion. Although with the forward out of contract in the summer, it will be interesting to see if anything gets finalised before next week’s transfer deadline.
