More Owls injury woe

Peacock will have to go under the knife to cure a problematic ankle while Aljorfree may have played his last game for the club.

The on-loan Plymouth defender has been impressive since joining from the Home Park club but he injured his shoulder against MK Dons and is out for a month.

This could cut short his spell with The Owls because he only signed for a month and may have to return to Argyle.

Peacock will be out of action for two months which will come as a blow following the former Bristol City striker has not played since the Bournemouth clash.

With Matt Hamshaw and Richard Evans not fully fit yet, Craig Armstrong and Kim Olsen just coming back to playing reserve-team football, Peacock and Aljorfree will join the likes of Graeme Lee, Richard Wood, Guy Branston and Paul Heckingbottom on the sidelines.

Let’s just hope that Ireland U-21 captain Glenn Whelan, Northern Ireland’s Chris Brunt and England’s U-20 defender Patrick Collins avoid injury this weekend whilst playing against France U-21, Azerbaijan and Holland U-20 respectively.

You can hear more from Whelan tomorrow as he looks forward to the France game.
