Sheffield Wednesday have exercised their right to recall midfielder Rhys McCabe from his loan spell at League Two side Portsmouth.
The young Scottish player joined Pompey in mid-March and has made 4 appearances for them but a shortage of options in the Owls midfield has resulted in his return to S6.
Wednesday are without injured Jose Semedo and suspended Sam Hutchinson. Liam Palmer also picked up an injury in Monday's match against Charlton. Right-back Lewis Buxton is also on the treatment table which means Kieran Lee, who has been a regular in midfield, may have to revert to full-back.
McCabe will be available to play for Stuart Gray's Owls in Saturday's final home game of the season against Bolton Wanderers.
