Owls let midfielder leave
Sheffield Wednesday have allowed midfielder Lewis McGugan to leave the club by mutual consent. The former Nottingham Forest man joined the club from Watford in 2015 after 2 successful loan spells and was seen as the first major signing of the Chansiri regime.
However, after an initial good start under new coach Carlos Carvalhal, McGugan fell out of favour and has hardly featured at all in the past 18 months. He trained with Cardiff City during the summer but the current Championship leaders chose not to make a move for the midfielder at that stage.
