Sheffield Wednesday have completed the capture of Lewis McGugan with the midfielder having signed a permanent 3-year deal at Hillsborough, leaving Watford for an undisclosed fee.
The Owls interest in the former NottinghamForest man has been no secret since his impressive loan spells with them last season.
McGugan was the stand-out attacking influence in the Wednesday midfield in many of his 22 appearances for the club during the second half of last season and with the Owls already having added more attacking threat to their squad this summer, the creativity and passing ability of the 26-year-old should be better rewarded this coming season.
At times last season the Hillsborough pitch, widely regarded as one the worst in the division, hindered the attributes of McGugan but the investment in the new turf, along with the continuing investment in the team will give him an ideal platform to perform to the high level he is capable of.
