Sheffield Wednesday concluded the summer transfer window by allowing striker Stevie May to join fellow Championship club Preston North End on a permanent transfer.
The Scottish striker joined the Owls for a fee of around £800,000 last summer from St. Johnstone but the 22-year-old struggled to find the net with the regularity that he had done north of the border and has been out of the squad this season.
The fee for the transfer has not been disclosed but it is believed to be in the region of the sum that the Owls paid for his services last year.
Wednesday are also expected to receive a fee from the sell-on-clause of Michail Antonio after Nottingham Forests former Wednesday winger joined Premier League West Ham United.
