Sheffield Wednesday have today confirmed that a deal has been agreed to allow striker Gary Madine to join fellow Championship side Blackpool on loan.
Madine will stay with the seasiders for the rest of the season as they bid to try and get out of the Championship relegation spots having been rooted to the bottom of the table for the majority of the season.
Wednesday have struggled for goals this season but despite this manager Stuart Gray has rarely turned to Madine to address this issue and the striker has not done enough in training or in the few games that he has featured to warrant a prolonged run in the team.
Madine, who has already spent time on loan at League One side Coventry City this season, has been behind the likes of Atdhe Nuhiu and Stevie May in the pecking order and the Owls recent additions of Will Keane and Sergiu Bus mean that his chances of featuring for Wednesday have become even further restricted.
