The former Rangers striker will be sorely missed by fans after three successful, yet injury-ridden years at Hillsborough but he moves to Ninian Park which Brian Laws describes as an offer too good for the forward to turn down.
He told the club's official site: "It has been a good three years for me - the best of my career so far - and I have a lot of people to thank such as all the managers I worked under, Chris Turner brought me in, then Paul Sturrock and Brian Laws.
"And obviously I have to thank the fans. They've been different class with me - probably the best I've worked under - and I'll miss them dearly."
Meanwhile, former midfielder Steve Adams has moved to Swindon Town to rejoin Paul Sturrock for a third time and will get a contract if he proves his fitness between now and the start of the season.
Also, Leon Clarke has been linked with permanent moves to Bournemouth and Oldham Athletic - where he spent a loan spell last season.
