The Owls are winless from their first four games of the season, picking up two points against Stoke City and Hull City as they lock horns against former manager Chris Turner.
But according to the former Preston goalkeeper, there is nothing to worry about just quite yet regarding Wednesday's sporadic form.
He told Footymad: "There's no danger signs yet, especially when you look at how we have done in games, we have to have a lot more self belief early on and I think we would have been a bit more up for the task.
"At times it takes us 45 minutes to realise that we are as good as the teams in this league and we are not making up the numbers. We have a cup game on Tuesday, no pressure there as far as the league’s concerned so hopefully we can get off to a winning start at Stockport.
"We need a few goals and a good win over there so we can go into QPR on Friday and put in as good as a performance as the second half at Ipswich."
On the Ipswich game, Lucas added: "I think we are all disappointed with our performances in the first half and especially with the goal we conceded. We all thought he (Naylor) was offside but that’s not really an excuse. The second half was better but we are just going to have to start winning games soon I think."
