Weaver, who has become a very popular player at Hillsborough, made his first appearance against Derby County seven games ago and came out on the winning side.
But Wednesday have failed to win since - a worrying statistic but it is to no detriment to Weaver who has performed well on all occasions.
With Weaver going back to the City of Manchester Stadium though, Wednesday are lucky to have Lucas on schedule to return for the game at his former club Preston on Boxing Day.
Lucas injured his knee in training but has worked hard in the gym and is fully confident he will be fit enough to play at Deepdale.
