Sheffield Wednesday have made a much needed addition to their central defensive options by completing the signing of former Celtic player Glenn Loovens.
Loovens, who had a successful short term contract spell at Hillsborough last season has signed a one-year deal with the Owls.
The Dutch defender appeared 25 times for Wednesday last season, impressing fans with his positional sense and assured defedning and decision making and his introduction into the team instantly aided an upturn in defensive displays.
Stuart Gray has been in need of acquiring central defenders with Miguel Llera, Oguchi Onyewu, Anthony Gardner and Martin Taylor all coming to the end of their Owls contracts this summer.
