Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed that central defender Glenn Loovens is to remain at Hillsborough through to the end of the current season.
The Dutch defender had initially joined the Owls at the beginning of December on a month by month basis but following some impressive performances the club have moved quickly to secure the services of the former Celtic stopper.
Prior to his arrival at S6 Wednesday had failed to keep a clean sheet in the 2013/14 season but in his month at the club to date the Owls have managed to stop the opposition scoring on 3 occasions.
