The Wednesday boss thought that the former Spurs journeyman was offside for both his goals and it left a bitter taste in his mouth as he believed Wednesday were the better team.
He said: "I've now watched the video; Barmby was offside for both goals. It's as clear as day. The frustrating thing is that there's nothing we can do about it.
"I spoke to the referee after the game, if we have made a mistake we shall have to learn by it. But we have to live with it.
"We're not the finished article. We're not shouting from the rooftops. We have to pick ourselves up. It's not easy to take. The players gave their all in the second half."
