Laws charms lady luck

No doubt The Baggies were the better side - probably the best Wednesday have faced all season - but Brian Laws' men showed heart, passion and belief to snatch a 1-1 draw deep into stoppage time when Steve Watson opened his Owls account against his old club.

Mowbray was left fuming after Wednesday scored in the fifth minute of stoppage time although with five substitutions in the half (which the referee has to add on at least 30 seconds each) and a long stoppage for Kevin Phillips' injury - many in the ground were surprised when only three extra minutes were added on in the first place.

"We've had a shade of luck, hand on heart," Laws admitted. "We've not had much luck this season and I think we've had more luck in this game than in any other.

"Not many teams are going to come here and get anything, I think they're a sensational side and fantastic to watch. I think they're the best in the division.

"I was delighted for Mark Beevers who was making his first start in the league and was up against Phillips and Miller, who are red hot at the moment.

"You've to give credit to him and (Lee) Grant behind him. I'm taking the positives, we've worked extremely hard and deserved a point."
