Sheffield Wednesday have today announced the date for their traditional summer fans festival, Owls in the Park. The event usually takes place prior to the start of the season but with 2017 being the 150th anniversary of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, this year’s event will take place on Sunday 3rd September, the day before the official anniversary of the club, formed on September 4th, 1867.
Owls in the Park has been running since 2013 and the popular open day has gone from strength to strength since then. This year’s event will run from 1pm in Hillsborough Park and will feature a raft of local stalls, entertainment for the kids, charity representations, food and licenced bar outlets.
The 2017 event will culminate with live music taking the forefront from 7pm and as the sun goes down an SWFC themed firework display will round things off in style.
