The new boss is calling on players to concentrate and cut out silly mistakes, something which they did pretty well for the first half at Bradford and most of the game at Swindon.
It is believed that Sturrock already knows which players he will be culling from the line-up although due to injuries, he has extended his month-long deadline for them to impress him.
Following the Swindon capitulation, he told the Sheffield Star: "It's very difficult to change the mentality of players quickly. If the mentality is not changed, the personnel will have to be changed."
At the moment though, no players have been brought in by the former Plymouth boss and Wigan's ex-Wolves midfielder Tony Dinning has just turned down a move to Hillsborough, opting for a loan stay at Bristol City.
It is very hard to judge Sturrock at the moment - not until he has at least brought his players in but since his arrival, he has improved the team although some of the same old problems are still there.
