Striker to stay at Hillsborough
Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed that striker Atdhe Nuhiu has signed a new contract with the club having agreed terms on a new deal. The Kosovo international, who has been with the Owls since 2013, was set to be out-of-contract this summer but has put pen to paper on a new 2-year deal at Hillsborough.
Under Carlos Carvalhal the 28-year-old was finding opportunities hard to come by this season, hardly featuring in the team and when he did it was often only as a late substitute. Since Jos Luhukay took over as Owls manager in January Nuhiu has been given a new lease of life in the team and he has grasped his chance brilliantly, ending the season with 14 goals, including 9 in the last 8 matches with a hat-trick against Norwich on the final day of the season the icing on the cake.
