Sheffield Wednesday take on Peterborough at Hillsborough on Saturday and both teams have been performing well recently after coming through poor spells which have left them in the lower reaches of the Championship table.
Wednesday enjoyed their first away win of the campaign last weekend and are unlikely to make many if any changes to the side that beat Ipswich 3-0. Midfielder Rhys McCabe is closing in on a return to fitness and may make the squad. Fellow midfielder Chris Lines, who has yet to feature this season, is also making good progress but is unlikely to feature this weekend. Full-back Reda Johnson remains on the sidelines.
Peterborough travel north with concerns over Michael Bostwick and influential attacking player George Boyd. The pair picked up knocks in last weekend’s home win against Derby but both players have trained this week and are expected to feature.
Midfielder Tommy Rowe has an ankle injury and is rated as doubtful for Saturday’s match.
The Owls’ victory at Ipswich was their first in 10 matches and they will be hoping to find their form at home having not won at Hillsborough since August.
Peterborough have won 4 of their last 6 games to drag them away from the bottom of the table.
In 9 meetings between the 2 sides at Hillsborough the Owls have won 6 and lost just 2 but the Posh did record a 4-1 victory on their last trip to S6 in March 2011.
