Wednesday’s new left-back leaves The Bantams only a month after claiming the player-of-the-season award and was more than happy to stay with City if it was not for their dire situation at the moment.
The star is looking forward to his future at Wednesday following his free-transfer move, and will hope to be first-choice in a position which has caused many problems for Wednesday over the years.
He said: "City threw me a lifeline at the start of the season when I was out of favour at Norwich and for that I will be forever grateful.
"But the current financial situation and no guarantees for the future has meant I've had to put my family first and look to secure my future elsewhere. Otherwise I would have been happy to stay.
"I would like to thank the supporters who've given me tremendous backing during the season," he told the Bradford Telegraph and Argus.
