Boost for Owls ahead of derby
Sheffield Wednesday fans have been given a boost ahead of Friday's Sheffield derby as manager Jos Luhukay revealed two forwards could be in line for a much needed return to the squad.
Fernando Forestieri and Marco Matias have not played since before the last international break due to hamstring injuries but the pair have been in full training for more than a week and could be called upon.
Luhukay has favoured a cautious approach with regards to injured players returning to the team and has tended to give them a run in the academy side to boost their match fitness before returning to first team action. However, a run of 4 successive defeats, during which Wednesday have only scored twice may force his hand into a quicker return with his forward duo and although neither are likely to start the game it will be a bonus to have them available from the bench.
