Sheffield Wednesday's diminutive forward Fernando Forestieri has been rewarded for his performances in March with the PFA Fans Player of the Month award.
Forestieri was suspended for the first 2 games of the month following incredibly harsh dismissals for dives against Preston and Hull in February but returned to great effect to help the Owls end a 5-match winless run.
The 26-year old was influential in a 3-0 away win at Nottingham Forest and was equally as impressive the following weekend, getting on the scoresheet as the Owls beat Charlton 3-0 at Hillsborough.
Forestieri was shortlisted by a panel of football experts with fans then having the opportunity to vote for the shortlisted players online. Leeds United striker Mirco Antenucci finished runner-up with Bristol City forward Lee Tomlin in 3rd.
This is the 5th time an Owls player has won the monthly accolade this season with Forestieri picking up the award for a 2nd time.
