Owls Vs Bees: Team news & preview
Sheffield Wednesday face Brentford at Hillsborough on Tuesday evening with forward Fernando Forestieri likely to be back in rthe squad having completed his 1-match ban for celebrating too exuberantly when the Owls scored an injury time equaliser at Rotherham.
Rolando Aarons and Achraf Lazaar impressed on their first starts for the Owls in the 3-1 win over Swansea at the weekend and will be hoping to keep their places. Lucas Joao was withdrawn early in the 2nd half against the Swans due to an injury concern but there appeared to be some misunderstanding regarding the extent of any injury and he is expected to be available.
Brentford could have goalkeeper Luke Daniels available following a small calf injury and striker Marcus Forss could also be in the squad. He missed Saturdays game against Hull but may may have to bide his time to get back into the side with Brentford in fine scoring form at the moment.
Wednesday have only lost 1 league game since Mid-December and have taken 7 points from their last 3 home games. Brentford have only lost 1 of their last 9 matches and have scored 12 times in their last 4 Championship games, including putting 5 past Hull City at the weekend.
The Owls produced a dismal 2nd half display in a 2-0 defeat at Griffin Park in August and also lost by the same scoreline in London last season. Wednesday did however enjoy a 2-1 win when the two sides last met at Hillsborough in September 2017.
