Former Sheffield Wednesday Captain Nigel Pearson is the latest man to fill the hot seat at the Walkers stadium.
Leicester City were consigned to relegation to League One at the end of the season and this cost Ian Holloway his job as manager.
The Foxes' relegation was due in no small part to the way in which Pearson managed to revive the fortunes of Southampton towards the end of last season, guiding them to safety against the odds.
It was something of a surprise that the Saints didn't keep him on at St Mary's although their decision not to do so was thought to have been hugely influenced by cost-cutting measures.
Pearson will have the task of getting Leicester back into the Championship at the first time of asking and, with the Foxes likely to be amongst the favourites for promotion he will have to hit the ground running given Chairman Milan Mandaric's recent record of impatience with underperforming managers.
