Tudgay suffered along with everyone else at the start of the season and did not bag his first goals until the victory over Stoke in October but this was quickly followed with a goal in the home win against Blackpool.
Another dry spell followed before he found the net in the cup tie at former club Derby in January. During his time at Hillsborough Marcus has been something of a streaky player, with his goals coming in consecutive games, surrounded by prolonged periods without finding the net.
His goal against Derby prompted a run of 5 goals in 9 games including the game-sealing second against Sheffield United and the only goal of the game at home to Cardiff.
A knee injury suffered in training in March put an end to his season and although 7 league goals in 29 starts is not the best return for a striker he was missed for a short time following his injury, before Deon Burton and Ben Sahar found form at the last to see the Owls safe.
Overall verdict: 7 out of 10. Doesn't seem to be able to find the consistency to be a first choice striker but contributed some vital goals and his wok-rate, which has been questioned at times, was clearly evident in the second half of the campaign.
