Marcus Tudgay missed the Wolves game after picking up a knock against Rotherham following former Owl Graham Coughlan's attempted assault of the forward forced him into an early exit.
He was not even on the bench at the weekend and it is believed that he is 50/50 for the trip to Charlton Athletic - who have been splashing the cash this summer to have one of the best forward lines in the league in an attempt to get back to the Premiership at the first time of asking.
Another worry is Franny Jeffers - he limped out of the Wolves game on 20 minutes after a reoccurrence of the calf injury which made him sit out the Rotherham cup clash.
Jeffers, who used to play for Charlton, is more or less certain to miss the clash at the Valley and perhaps a further week with the problem.
It could give the chance for Wade Small to take on a striking role and move to attack from the left wing as Laws is running out of options.
