Sheffield Wednesday were unable to address their recent poor run of form on their visits to Coventry as they suffered a 2-0 defeat at the Ricoh Arena.
A goal in each half from Clinton Morrison and Robbie Simpson were enough to condemn the Owls to an eighth defeat on he road this season and stretches their winless run at Coventry to eleven games.
Despite an arguably improved display from what was served up in the home game against Blackpool on Boxing Day the Owls failed to make the most of their chances and were punished by the home side.
The defeat leaves Wednesday with just 2 wins from 13 away games this season and worryingly they have found the net on two or more occasions just 5 times in 26 league games this season.
The Owls face Fulham in the F.A. Cup at Hillsborough on Saturday in hopefully what will provide a welcome break from the league form that has seen them pick up just two points from the past four games.
