Coke hoping to fizz at Bolton

Sheffield Wednesday have allowed central midfielder Giles Coke to join fellow Championship side Bolton Wanderers on loan until the end of the season.

Coke has made 11 appearances for the Owls this season but has struggled to hold down a regular place in the squad due to injury.

Despite starting the season in fine style by scoring a sublime winning goal on the opening day at Brighton his opportunities have been further restricted as he has found himself further down the pecking order since returning from his latest spell on the sidelines, with the likes of Jose Semedo, Lewis McGugan, Kieran Lee and Sam Hutchinson all ahead of him.

The 28-year-old will be in contention to make his Wanderers debut when they face Blackburn Rovers next Wednesday.
