The former Gillingham star broke his rib in an accident on Monday night as a Peugeot reportedly failed to stop at a junction and ploughed into his car.
Unfortunately two people died in the accident and another one was injured - a Wednesday spokesman say that there will an investigation. Needless to say our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone concerned in this tragedy.
Paul Heckingbottom is set to replace Hills at left-back and David Graham could be recalled to the starting line-up after impressing on Saturday against Derby.
Meanwhile, Lee Peacock knows that tonight's game will be a tough one against The Bluebirds - who have played well away from Ninian Park this season.
He told Footymad: "Cardiff are doing well away from home but it’s like a lot of the teams in the league this season, they are saving some of their performances for the away games.
"Brighton for example are better away, just like we were last season but we have to get rid of the reputation of Hillsborough being a bogey ground for us, we are turning things round here which is nice but Cardiff will be another test for us.
"They are all good teams in this league and because we have just been promoted, every game is a hard game. But if we go out against Cardiff like we did second half against Derby I don’t think there is a lot for us to worry about. If all the players do their jobs and win their battles, we should be fine."
