Hull Vs Wednesday: Team news & preview

Sheffield Wednesday travel to Hull City on Saturday with both teams having found good form over the festive period on the back of difficult first halves to their seasons.

Barry Bannan is expected to recover from a knock taken at the end of the F.A. Cup draw with Luton Town last weekend but Josh Onomah will be out for around a month with a hamstring injury and has returned to parent club Spurs to have the injury assessed. Sam Hutchinson faces a fitness assessment having had to withdraw early on in the Luton game. Keiren Westwood is expected to return to goal for the Owls.

Hull could welcome striker Frazier Campbell back into the squad for the first time since Boxing Day as he has recovered from a hamstring injury but midfielder Jackson Irvine is away on international duty for Australia.

Wednesday are unbeaten in 5 games since the dismissal of Jos Luhukay in December but they have drawn their last 3 matches. Hull lost to Millwall last time out in the F.A. Cup but they have won 5 Championship matches in a row including a 2-0 win at table-toppers Leeds United.

The Owls enjoyed a 1-0 at the KC stadium last season and the teams drew 1-1 at Hillsborough when they last met in August.
