Sheffield Wednesday have today confirmed that experienced goalkeeper Stephen Bywater will not remain with the club, choosing instead to join Championship rivals Millwall on a 2-year deal.
Bywater played understudy to Owls number Chris Kirkland last season and will be hoping that he may get more first team opportunities with the Londoners although they also have Ireland's number one stopper David Forde currently on their books as well.
The former West Ham goalkeeper was offered a new contract to remain at S6 but has chosen to move back to the capital and it remains to be seen whether Wednesday will seek to find a replacement or stick with what they have.
