The Wednesday skipper usually scores in spells and is hopeful of adding to his tally against Blackpool next week.
His header in stoppage time at the end of the first half gave The Owls the lead and they went on to beat Rovers 2-0, doing the double over them in the process.
He told Footymad: "I have been thinking about not scoring at home for the last few weeks, I had five before the Doncaster game and it was nice to get off the mark at Hillsborough. I usually score in patches and it would be nice to score next week, I know Colin Hendry well and I don’t think he will be too happy with that but I scored against them at their place so you never know."
The 33-year-old, always honest in his assessment, believes that there is a new mentality surrounding the players in S6 these days and admits that the patchy form at home could now be coming to an end.
He said: "The first half we were disappointing but in the second we were comfortable, we dealt with everything well and deserved to get the second goal – having said that, David Lucas two minutes before Drew (Talbot) scored had pulled off a wonder save and nine times out of ten at Hillsborough those sorts of shots end in the back of our net and we end up biting our nails for the last ten minutes."
On Talbot's first Owls goal, Bullen said: "I felt sorry for young Drew down at Chesterfield because he beat two or three players, then the goalkeeper but the ball got stuck under his feet but thankfully he was in the right place at the right time against Doncaster and I am delighted for him."
More from Lee later in the week.
