A brace from Adam Proudlock as well as goals from Chris Brunt and Patrick Collins gave The Owls just reward for a mightily-impressive performance on the road against one of the best sides in the division.
It was without question the best performance under Sturrock since he arrived at the club and the Scotsman says that the players are getting better but still says there is room for improvement
"When I arrived a number of players didn't seem to know what to do when the opposition had the ball," he said.
"Now we are closing people down and stopping crosses, which is a major step in the right direction.
"But the league table says we are currently seventh best team in the division and there's still a lot of work to do."
Log on tomorrow for Glenn Whelan's view on the 4-1 victory.
