Ken Bates yesterday made his intentions clear at a press conference about putting money into the club, following a detailed look at the books of course, and the war of words continued between him and chairman Dave Allen.
The former Chelsea chief fancies another challenge in football and Allen hit back at his plans by slamming his way of approaching Wednesday as ‘unprofessional’ and accused him of trying to ‘destabilise the club’.
But another verbal battle has broken out - this time it is football related. Turner recently let fans know his true feelings behind Knight’s professionalism while the former England Under-21 star was on a year-long loan.
Turner recently said: "From the day I came here, Knight said he didn't like Wednesday, he felt let down by Terry Yorath because he played him out of position and kept taking him off.

But Turner hit back citing his attitude, saying: "It's an example of a player not doing the business for us on the field but then blaming the manager.”
