Points badly needed from 2 home games
Sheffield Wednesday have a huge week ahead, starting tonight at Hillsborough against Millwall. Such has been their slow start to the season, even at this early stage the Owls are badly in need of points from tonight's game and Saturday's home clash against Ipswich.
Wednesday will be without defender Joost Van Aken who suffered an ankle injury at Sunderland last Thursday and striker Lucas Joao is unlikely to feature due to a groin strain. Adam Reach will be assessed having had to pull out of Sunday's game at Brentford during the warm up due to a knee complaint. Steven Fletcher could return to the side having made a brief appearance from the bench during the defeat at Griffin Park.
Millwall have no new injury or suspension concerns and are unlikely to make too many changes having made a positive start to the season. Ryan Tunnicliffe and Shane Ferguson are options should manager Neil Harris feel the need for fresh legs while defender Byron Webster could make the bench having returned from around a year out in Millwall's league cup tie last week.
The Owls have just 1 point from their 3 fixtures so far this season while Millwall are yet to taste defeat having won 1 and drawn 2. Wednesday were beaten 2-1 in London when the teams last met but did enjoy a 2-1 win against the Lions at Hillsborough last season.
