The former Chelsea chief is currently in talks with current chairman Dave Allen regarding how his proposed £10million will be invested into the club.
But the pair have signed a confidentiality agreement which will prevent any unsolicited news coming out during the talks.
Bates originally said that he does not know any goalkeepers who have become successful coaches, and Turner hit back by stating that Bates does not know him well enough to be able to criticise and that he 'doesn't know how to run a football club'.
In the war of words though, Bates retaliated by saying: "I was open-minded about Chris Turner's future but now he has dug himself into a pit saying that I know nothing about running a football club."
Before Bates sold his shares in Chelsea to Roman Abromovic, the club were £100million in the red, despite buying the club for only £1 in the seventies.
It is quite obvious that Bates and Allen will not be able to work together, well it is the only thing the pair agree on at the moment!
Although it does seem however that Turner's future will be limited at best if Bates does take control of Wednesday.
Allen said when he appointed Turner that he has never been as impressed as anyone's desire and attitude during an interview, although the former Owls custodian had been under pressure of late but does have rebuilding plans for the summer.
