Sheffield Wednesday have had two fixtures postponed recently due to the adverse weather conditions that are affecting the country and now the reserve fixture against city rivals Sheffield United has had to be called off.
The second strings of the two steel city clubs were set to meet at the home of Sheffield F.C at 7pm on Wednesday 13th January but the clash must now be rearranged for a later date.
The postponement may come as a slight setback to new Wednesday manager Alan Irvine as the match would have provided him with an opportunity to get a good look at some of the Owls fringe players in competitive action ahead of his first game in charge of the first team at Barnsley on Saturday.
