Turner is under pressure by admitting the team he has personally assembled are not good enough to challenge for a promotion spot in the second division.
Allen, who has been in talks with a mystery benefactor regarding a takeover, became chairman last summer after being the most involved of all the current board members.
Ken Bates still claims he has not seen the books at Hillsborough in great detail and is adamant he wants to know everything before ploughing £10milion into the club.
Turner though still believes that Allen is the man for the job at the top, he says: "I know there are outside influences at the moment and despite being the biggest Wednesday fan there is, I work with a man who is just as passionate about turning this club around as I am and if everyone turns against him, it will be the biggest mistake they will ever make.
"The support here is some of the best in the land and Dave and I are working our socks off to turn this loosing culture around which has been in the club for a number of years."
